In June of 1885, the Statue of Liberty was shipped to New York. It came in 214 crates, containing 350 pieces. It took workers 4 months to reassemble it. Lady Liberty, ain’t she beautiful! Her succession plan? Get a new face lift about every 100 years (her 1984 facelift cost $86MM), continue to smile at new Americans and old.
